Information for our Churches
The Moravian Archives serves the Moravian Church in America, Northern Province, as the official repository for the historical records of the boards, agencies, and congregations.
Click here for more information regarding the records of your congregation.
We offer programs specifically for our churches. Church groups, like youth groups, confirmation classes, younger and older adults, and so on, are encouraged to visit the Archives.
Click here for more information on tours of our facility.
We can also come to your church to do a presentation on the Archives, present a lecture on Moravian history or discuss your church's recordkeeping and help select and organize your records.
newsletter on Moravian history
Some churches include our monthly electronic newsletter, "This Month in Moravian History," in their bulletins and newsletters. Feel free to use it in your own church!
The Moravian Archives developed a ten-panel timeline for the 550th anniversary of the Moravian Church. Each panel explains an aspect of Moravian history. Click here to see the timeline and to order a copy for your church.
poster: moravian vine
Contact us to order your copy of the Moravian Vine depicting Moravian congregations in America as leaves on a grapevine, stemming from Christ on the cross. The new Moravian Vine is based on the original template from 1784 and shows more than 320 congregations in all four North American provinces (Northern, Southern, Alaskan and Labrador). The date of organization is listed with each church, along with a closure date, where applicable.
The Vine poster (24" x 36") is a beautiful decoration for your home or church building.
The Moravian Vine can be ordered from the Archives for $10.00 + shipping.
