The Rev. Vernon H. Nelson Fund was established in 2011 to provide grants to researchers to help fund expenses related to their research at the Moravian Archives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. 2017 was the first year the Moravian Archives was able to award grants from the Rev. Vernon H. Nelson Memorial Fund and we are delighted to once again offer small research grants for research at the Moravian Archives.

Funding may be given for research projects using records held by the Moravian Archives in Bethlehem. Projects will be assessed on the general significance of the proposed research, the scholarly value, the relevance to Moravian studies, and the likelihood of timely completion of the proposed research. The full selection criteria and application for consideration can be found through our website. Deadline for submissions is February 28, 2018.
