Supporting the Archives

Why support the Moravian Archives?
You will find many opportunities to support the Archives and its mission. You can support us financially; you can give us your time and your expertise as a volunteer or by serving on one of our committees; or you may entrust your own collection to the care of the Archives.

The goal of the Moravian Archives, Northern Province is to become the primary resource center for Moravian history in North America.

The present Archives building was constructed in 1977 and is in need of key repairs and improvements, including creation of a separate reading room and workspace for volunteers.

We put your donations to work in many useful ways:

• Improvements in storage and climate-control systems

• Acquisition of research aides to improve efficiency of on site research

• Acquisition of rare books to complete our library collection

• Cataloging of collections and providing online access to remove geographic constraints

• Restoration of fragile and endangered documents, drawings, books and paintings so that they can be preserved for future generations

• Creation of educational programs to bring Moravian history to more people

• friends of the archives
