Tour the Archives
Tours of the Archives are available when scheduled in advance. To schedule a tour, please contact us at least a month ahead of time with some possible dates and times in mind.

Your tour will be conducted with an archivist who will provide commentary and answer your questions.
On a tour, you will...
• Learn how the Archives staff preserve our church history.
• Tour vaults which hold the earliest Moravian church records in America, including the Bethlehem Diary and records from Northern Province churches.
• Visit our portrait gallery for a display of 18th century oil paintings by the Moravian painter, Johann Valentine Haidt, and the 19th century painting, The Power of the Gospel, by Conrad Schussele.
• View our map collection, which includes the earliest maps of Bethlehem - starting in 1742.
• View our changing exhibits pertaining to Moravian culture.
• View our current display: Moravian mission photographs
• Visit our book shop for Moravian literature, prints and note cards.
Tours can also be tailored according to the specific interests of your group. Keep in mind that the preferred number of people on a tour is around 15. Please talk to an archivist about your request.
