Meet Our Fall 2025 Interns!

MAB always enjoys having interns at our institution. They challenge the staff to think differently about our day-to-day and provide us with the opportunity to (hopefully) have an impact on the next generation of Gallery, Library, Archives, and Museum (GLAM) professionals.

This fall semester, we are thrilled to be hosting 2 interns – Christine and Sean! Christine is working on our PHMC HARC grant project – processing our General Diacony collection while Sean is assisting in streamlining our digital asset workflow. Both Christine and Sean are Library and Information Science graduate students, concentrating in archival studies. Keep a look out for future blog posts highlighting their projects and time at the MAB!

Name: Christine Yorgbor

School Affiliation: Rutgers University, School of Communication and Information

What drew you to the field of archives? I am a curious, creative, and community-centered professional with a passion for history, archives, and the power of storytelling. With a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a recent acceptance into Rutgers University Master’s program in Archives and Preservation, I am building a career rooted in care, curation, and cultural legacy.

I am driven by a deep appreciation for culture, the stories that shape us and the small details that bring history to life. Whether I’m organizing materials behind the scenes, conducting historical interviews with family members, or savoring the smell of a good book – I bring care and intention to everything I do.

What do you hope to gain from your internship at MAB? From my time here at MAB, I hope to gain hands-on experience along with skill development that transfers into my career in archives and preservation. This opportunity will allow me to learn from professionals in the field and will also allow me to better understand the day to day realities of the field. I see this as an opportunity to connect what I will be learning in my courses to real world archival work. This is a window to gain more insight on how professionals approach preserving cultural heritage for generations to come.

If you could jump on a plane tomorrow, where would you go? Why? If I could jump on a plane tomorrow, I would go to either Egypt or Ethiopia to continue my studies in archival practices and preservation management. Maybe museum studies as well!
